I’m so excited about the series I’m starting on Wanderlust Out West called “Monthly Finds.” At the beginning of every month I will share my top 10 items that I’ve been loving the previous month. These can be anything related to beauty, clothing, shoes, food, books, etc. There are so many things I want to share with you all and sometimes I don’t have time to write a full blog post about each item. With my new monthly series I’ll be able to share my current favorites with you all in one post!
1. Book
With the cooler Fall temps, it’s the perfect season to cozy up on the couch and read a good book. I just finished reading the book “The Good Daughter” by Karin Slaughter. This is hands down the best book I’ve read in the past year. It’s a gripping thriller and you won’t want to put the book down!
2. Vitamin C Oil
The colder weather’s making my skin extremely dry. I absolutely love how Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil hydrates my skin. This product is a brightening face oil with pure rosehip oil that provides rich hydration and supports the skin’s natural luminosity by replenishing the skin for a softer and youthful glow. I love to use this product in the morning to awaken and brighten my skin.
How to use: I cleanse my face and then I’ll warm one to two pumps between my hands and massage gently in a circular motion.
3. Basic T-Shirt
Everyone needs a perfect tee to pair with jeans. I’ve been wearing my Madewell crewneck t-shirt nonstop for the past few weeks. These tees will be a forever favorite and you’ll want one every color. They are a light and airy slub cotton, that is flattering and not boxy. I usually tuck my tee into high waisted jeans and throw a sweater or flannel over to layer.
4. Vans
I’ve been wearing Vans since middle school, but with the sneaker trend so hot right now I have been wearing them more now than ever. I have two pairs of leather Vans in white and black, but I’ve been really into my new tan Vans I purchased from Madewell. They go with so many of my outfits and they’re a great fall color. I’ve worn these Vans in two blog posts – HERE and HERE!
5. Neck Scarf
This fall I’ve been really into accessorizing my outfits with a neck scarf. I’m so happy I finally started incorporating this trend into my outfits. I love pairing my neck scarves with a black tank and leather jacket, white button down, or a sweater. I’ve purchased all my neck scarves from Madewell – they really have great colors at a great price.
6. Polaroid Camera
I always pull my favorite little polaroid camera out when I have get togethers at my house. I recently documented my Birthday Party with my Instax Mini and used two different types of film – the rainbow instant film and the monochrom film (which is my new favorite). After my most recent party I’ve decided I’m going start a scrapbook to organize all my fun times I’ve documented with my polaroid camera because sadly most of the photos sit in a drawer.
7. Star Necklace
I like to keep my jewelry simple and I choose pieces that I can wear daily. One piece that I’ve had for a couple months and always wear is my star necklaces by Gorjana. I’m a huge fan of Gorjana because the pieces are easy to layer, simple, inexpensive, and great quality.
8. Madewell Backpack
I posted a blog post with this backpack a few weeks back and I haven’t stopped wearing it ever since. It’s the perfect backpack for work – carries my laptop, planner, and camera. I have a couple trips I’m taking this month and this will definitely be my carry-on bag.
9. Cleansing Balm
I used the Clinque Cleansing Balm a couple years ago and about a month ago repurchased a container. Over the past year I’ve been trying different oils to remove my makeup and I haven’t found anything that works better than this product. I honestly don’t know why I stopped using this product. This makeup remover effortlessly dissolves the most tenacious makeup and sunscreen, which most face cleansers can’t do. The non-drying formula cleanses thoroughly and rinses off completely with very little effort. You then follow up with your favorite cleanser.
10. Card Wallet
This past summer I found this company on Instagram and loved the price point and simplicity of their pieces. I usually just carry my wallet in my jacket pocket and I was in the market for a small card case. I bought the Dagne Dover Card Case in black and I’ve been loving it. It is well made and you can’t beat the price.
I really hope you all enjoy my new series!
